Gustavo Antonio Montero is a distinguished leader with over 30 years of international experience in top-tier banking, CEO roles, and board responsibilities. As the founder and chairman of Carter Capital and USDR Commodities, he has made significant contributions to the fields of fintech, digital assets, and impact investment. In 2022, he authored the new Innovation Law on Digital Assets, AI, Blockchain, and DeFi, which was proposed to the Chilean government as part of its new constitution. Gustavo also serves as a visiting professor at the Canadian University in Dubai, where he shares his extensive knowledge in international business development and finance. His previous roles include Head of Internal Audit at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and Planning Director for the Rio Summit under the Brundtland Commission. He holds an MBA and MSc from Oregon State University and is a doctorate candidate at Grenoble Ecole de Management.
